Questions and Answers
Is The Holy Art a legitimate gallery?
Yes. The Holy Art Ltd is a registered UK company, founded in 2020, with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. We have exhibited over 25,000 artists across 400+ exhibitions in more than 20 cities worldwide, in real, publicly listed gallery venues. Our shows, artists and reviews are all publicly verifiable on Trustpilot, Google, and our own Instagram, where we document every exhibition.
How does The Holy Art work?
We are an open-access exhibition platform. Artists apply for free to our open calls. Our curatorial team reviews every submission. If your work is selected, an exhibition fee confirms your place in the show. That fee covers the gallery venue, curation, professional installation and lighting, marketing to our global audience, the exhibition catalogue, and the opening event. Any sales of your work are yours.
Why is there an exhibition fee?
Traditional galleries fund their shows by taking a large commission, often 40% to 60%, on every sale, which is why they only represent a small number of already-established artists. We use a different model. Instead of taking a cut of your sales, we charge a transparent exhibition fee that covers the real costs of putting on a professional show. This is how we can keep our doors open to emerging and independent artists from every country, at every stage of their career. It is a well-established model used by many open-call galleries and international art fairs.
Who exhibits with The Holy Art?
Emerging, independent and established artists from all over the world, working in every medium: painting, photography, sculpture, digital art, video, installation, illustration and mixed media. Our exhibitions have included both first-time exhibitors and well-known, established artists, and our openings are attended by collectors, curators, press and art lovers.
What cities does The Holy Art exhibit in?
London, New York, Tokyo, Paris, Milan, Athens, Amsterdam, Barcelona and more, plus a billboard in Times Square, New York. We host physical and digital exhibitions throughout the year with open calls for artists worldwide.
What is a physical and digital exhibition?
Your artwork is displayed both on the gallery wall as a physical piece and on digital screens within the gallery, and it is included in the exhibition catalogue. Artists who cannot ship physical work can exhibit digitally from anywhere in the world.
Is it free to apply?
Yes. Submitting your work to an open call is completely free. There is no application fee. A fee only applies if your work is selected and you choose to confirm your place.
Where can I read genuine reviews?
Verified reviews from artists who have exhibited with us are available on Trustpilot and Google. We also document every exhibition, with real artists and real audiences, on our Instagram at @theholyartgallery.
