What initially inspired you to become an artist, and how did you develop your unique style?

I was fortunate enough to grow up in a family of artists, where visits to art museums and galleries were a regular occurrence. While classical and Renaissance art left me somewhat disengaged, I found myself captivated by contemporary installations that pushed the boundaries of artistic expression. Throughout my formative years, I was constantly exposed to a diverse range of artistic styles, however, I struggled to find my own calling. It was not until I started studying filmmaking that I began to unravel the true extent of my artistic inclinations. As I started making and thinking about making films, I discovered a profound resonance with the world of painting.Inspired by this newfound revelation, I became consumed by the idea of merging the dynamic elements of filmmaking with the expressive power of painting. The notion of crafting moving artworks, where visual narratives come to life excited me. This fusion of mediums not only offered me a means to communicate my unique vision but also served as a catalyst for personal growth and artistic exploration. As I continue to embark on my artistic journey, influenced by my upbringing, I find myself on a path where the boundaries between the two mediums blur. I strive to create mesmerising works of art that captivate the senses, challenge perceptions, and leave a lasting impression on those who experience them.

In terms of subject matter, what themes or motifs do you frequently explore in your work, and what draws you to these topics?

By merging the realms of film and painting, I strive to reveal the inherent beauty and metaphorical depth within our world. Through my unique style, I aim to illuminate the extraordinary in everyday subjects, including humans, nature, and life itself. With a focus on mental health, I seek to approach serious subjects in a compassionate and thought-provoking way, shedding light on the beauty and resilience of the human condition. Ultimately, my art invites viewers to experience the interconnectedness of existence and appreciate the world that surrounds us.

Can you discuss a specific piece or project that challenged you as an artist, and how you overcome those challenges?

"Oil on Videotape," my first try to do video art, stands as an important milestone in my career. This creation challenged me immensely, yet it also provided invaluable rewards and pushed me towards self-discovery. Crafting "Oil on Videotape" demanded dedication and extensive effort. It required attention to every little detail, all while staying true to my artistic vision. Through the process of bringing this film to life, I not only found my true calling as an artist but also gained a profound understanding of my unique style and purpose in the world of art. The work put in this project allowed me to confidently embrace my ideas and artistic vision, solidifying my identity as a creator. The process of creating "Oil on Videotape" affirmed that this artistic path is precisely where I am meant to be at this stage of my life.

How do you stay connected with other artists and keep up with new developments and trends in the art world?

Regularly visiting exhibitions has become my main way to stay n touch with the everchanging art world. Whenever I explore a new city, I make it a priority to visit art galleries and museums. By doing so, I gain insights into the latest trends, developments, and ideas that permeate the art society. Each exhibition serves as a window into the artistic world, helping me understand the evolving landscape of art and finding inspiration in the works of fellow creators.

How do you incorporate feedback from critics and audiences into your artistic practice, and how do you balance this feedback with your own artistic intuition?

Learning to navigate criticism has been a crucial aspect of my artistic journey. Rejection and negative feedback are inevitable for any artist, serving as catalysts for growth and self-reflection. It is essential to find a balance between heeding constructive criticism and staying true to one's creative vision. While acknowledging that artists have a unique understudying of their own work, I have come to recognise that some criticisms should be embraced and some let go. Nevertheless, the journey of accessing the quality of my own work remains an ongoing process.

How do you stay motivated and inspired despite any setbacks or creative blocks you may encounter?

Experiencing moments of demotivation and encountering creative blocks is an inherent and natural part of the artistic process. Recognising and embracing these moments, while being honest with oneself about these emotions, can be instrumental in overcoming them. Instead of feeling guilty, I try to release the pressure and grant myself permission to take a much-needed break. This often serves as a breath of fresh air, allowing motivation and inspiration to come back into my life, hoping me with the creative block. Additionally, seeking inspiration from the works of other artists can prove immensely beneficial during these periods, offering new perspectives and revitalising the creative spirit.

How do you approach each one of your projects, and what creative processes do you implement to ensure a successful outcome?

I believe the key to success in creating impactful projects lies in the passion for what you do. I approach each project as if it were my first and last, filling it with importance and a sense of uniqueness. Remaining true to myself is fundamental, as it enables me to stay aligned with my vision and produce work that I am genuinely proud to represent. I also actively engage in conversations with individuals who have artistic understanding, including my team, mentors, family, and friends. These discussions serve as a ground for developing fresh ideas, making the project more complex and intriguing. By opening myself up to these conversations, I ensure that my work evolves and resonates with a broader group of people.

As a film director, how do you balance your various creative pursuits, and how do they complement each other in your work?

Having been surrounded by artists and immersed in various forms of art since my childhood has greatly influenced my development as a film director. The exposure to diverse artistic expressions has nurtured my unique vision and style. Being knowledgeable in different types of art has enhanced my understanding, making me a more versatile and informed filmmaker. This broadened perspective is reflected in my video art, which draws inspiration from multiple mediums and serves as a homage to the artistic world as a whole.

How do you feel about exhibiting your artworks with The Holy Art Gallery?

I am extremely honoured to have my works exhibited at the Holy Art Galleries. It is a really important stage in my career, as my works have never been exhibited before.

Looking ahead, what are your long-term goals and aspirations as an artist, and how do you plan to achieve them?

I hope to continue creating video art that offers a unique and captivating portrayal of the human condition, showcasing rare and intricate emotions in a beautiful manner. I strive to further refine my ability to depict these complex emotions while drawing inspiration from different artists and art forms. Additionally, I hold a desire to explore the realm of fiction films more, integrating my signature artistic style while catering to a broader audience of film enthusiasts. I firmly believe in the strong connection between art and film, and I am excited by the increasing blurring of boundaries as artists and filmmakers experiment with their works. It is a beautiful process that I am eager to witness and, ultimately, contribute to through my own artistic projects.
