Artist spotlight : MARKO CIRIC
Artist Statement:
The Regal Lion' is a contemporary intellectual property and conceptual art project, that explores the intersection of primal power, modern luxury, and human ambition. The concept features an anthropomorphic lion dressed in a perfectly tailored suit, serving as a visual reflection of the observer's own courage and elegance. Born from the unique contrast between my everyday life working in agriculture and my vision for high-end design, the character is more than just an image , it is a modern symbol of leadership. Currently established through 1/1 NFTs, viral digital media, and original music, the ultimate vision for 'The Regal Lion' is to transcend the digital canvas and become a global brand ambassador, luxury collectible, and designer art toy.
Inspiration & Style
What initially inspired you to become an artist, and how did you develop your unique artistic style?
My everyday life is tied to agriculture and working the land, which is an honest, yet
harsh and physically demanding job. Art, specifically the creation of The Regal Lion’s concept, became my escape into a world of complete control, elegance, and luxury. My style developed from that contrast , I combined the raw power of a lion with the perfect elegance of a tailored suit to create a modern symbol of power and sophistication
Creative Process
Do you have any rituals or routines that help you get into a creative mindset when starting a new project?
My biggest ritual is the transition from the real to the digital world. After a full day
spent in the fields, the silence of the night and my computer become my studio. Writing original music for my YouTube channel and visualizing each new 1/1 NFT helps me mentally shift into a creative mindset and focus on building my intellectual property (IP)
Artistic Influences
How do you balance historical or artistic influences with your personal style, and how do these influences manifest in your work today?
I have always been fascinated by classic symbols of power and heraldry, where the
lion has always been the absolute king. I modernized that historical symbolism. Instead of a crown, my lion wears a perfectly tailored suit. It is a contemporary representation of power,he is no longer just the ruler of the wild, but a dominant leader in the modern business and luxury world.
Emotion & Expression
How do you use your art to evoke emotions, and what role does emotion play in your creative process?
The Regal Lion" was created to be a reflection of the observer. When people look at it, I want them to feel confidence, courage, and ambition. Emotion is crucial because my goal isn’t just to draw a beautiful picture, but to convey a sense of success and dignity through the posture, demeanor, and piercing gaze of the character I created.
Exhibiting Work
How do you feel about exhibiting your artwork with The Holy Art Gallery, and what does this opportunity mean to you?
This is a tremendous validation of my work. Exhibiting in Milan and now this fantastic
campaign through your gallery are proof that my concept crosses borders and resonates with an international audience. For me, as an artist coming from an unexpected background, this is confirmation that quality and originality are recognized at the highest level.
Future Goals
What are your long-term goals and aspirations as an artist, and how do you plan to achieve them?
My main goal is for The Regal Lion to make the transition from the digital to the physical world. I want to license this intellectual property (IP) so it can become the face of a brand, an ambassador, a luxury collectible figure, or a designer art toy. I plan to achieve this by finding the right strategic partners and licensing agencies.
Audience Connection
What do you hope viewers take away from experiencing your art, and how do you aim to connect with them on an emotional or intellectual level?
I hope they feel inspired to be the best version of themselves. The lion in a suit
is a visual reminder that power comes from within, through attitude and work ethic. I
connect with them by not just offering a drawing, but an alter-ego and a symbol to which
they can tie their own life and business ambitions.
