Artist Statement:

A Journey of Discovery

Through my paintings, I seek to transform feelings and stories into colors and shapes. At ten years old, I see the world as a place full of possibilities, and art is the tool I use to discover who I am and how I express myself. While I enjoy exploring different styles, I find my true passion in abstract art and impressionism.

I believe that painting shouldn’t just show what we see, but what we feel. My work is an invitation for the audience to feel along with me. An example of this is the piece titled "Misericórdia" (Mercy), which was born from a very powerful moment: my grandmother’s heart surgery. In this canvas, I used shades of red and strokes that represent veins and life itself, turning concern and love into an image of strength and hope.

Currently, my process is one of pure freedom. I am in a phase of experimentation, painting "a little bit of everything" as I build my artistic identity. For me, every canvas is a new adventure where colors speak louder than words.

Inspiration & Style

What initially inspired you to become an artist, and how did you develop your unique artistic style?

Creative Process

Do you have any rituals or routines that help you get into a creative mindset when starting a new project?

My creative process is deeply tied to my family environment and my study routines. Before starting a new piece, I often find inspiration in nature, such as gardening or observing the plants in my garden.

Artistic Influences

How do you balance historical or artistic influences with your personal style, and how do these influences manifest in your work today?

I've always liked to paint landscapes such as trees, nature ... But little by little I also saw beauty in my abstract paintings, where I can paint in my own way with a lot of meaning and love. I'm still discovering my identity as an artist because I'm only 10 years old, but the fundamental for me is to love painting.

Emotion & Expression

How do you use your art to evoke emotions, and what role does emotion play in your creative process?

For me, art is a way to communicate

Exhibiting Work

How do you feel about exhibiting your artwork with The Holy Art Gallery, and what does this opportunity mean to you?

I'm very happy to exhibit with The Holy Art Gallery! For me, this is like seeing a dream gaining real colors. I've always dreamed of visiting Japan, and now knowing that I'm not just going to visit, but also take my paintings to Tokyo and Osaka, is the best thing in the world. This opportunity means that my effort and my love for art are crossing oceans, and I am very proud to show my work to people from so many different places at the age of 10.

Future Goals

What are your long-term goals and aspirations as an artist, and how do you plan to achieve them?

One of the canvases I'm going to take to the exhibition in Tokyo called Mercy. I made this screen when my grandmother had heart surgery, so I made the screen in a red tone with lines that resemble veins of her heart. My biggest dream is to continue taking my art all over the world and, one day, live surrounded by culture in Europe, in beautiful places like Italy. To get there, I want to continue studying a lot, learn new languages and participate in exhibitions in different countries, as I will already do in Japan this year. I love learning new things and I want my paintings to help people see the world in a more colorful and happy way

Audience Connection

What do you hope viewers take away from experiencing your art, and how do you aim to connect with them on an emotional or intellectual level?

I hope that, when they look at my paintings, people realize that art has no age and that everyone can make their dreams come true. I want them to feel the same joy and freedom that I feel when I'm painting. My goal is to connect my heart with theirs, showing that a girl from Brazil can bring colors, smiles and a lot of positive energy anywhere in the world through her brushes.
