Artist spotlight : HAIFA MELLITI
Artist Statement:
My artworks are primarily created using acrylic and oil painting techniques on canvas. My artistic process combines intuitive painting, symbolism, texture work, and emotional expression inspired by spirituality, music, and the sacred feminines. I create to reveal the inner light that lives within every human being. My work explores sacred femininity, ancestral memory, and protective symbols rooted in Mediterranean traditions. Painting, for me, is not a technical act—it is a ritual, a healing gesture, a silent prayer offered to the world. The women I portray are more than figures; they are guardians, priestesses, and mirrors of ancient wisdom. Their faces embody strength, intuition, and resilience. Each painting is a talisman, an inner sanctuary where symbols—moon, protective eye, flowers, birds, flames— become a sacred language. I invite the viewer to enter this space of contemplation, to slow down, feel, and reconnect with their own light. My artistic approach is holistic. My background in naturopathy, my wellness centers, and my intuitive piano improvisations all nourish my creative process. Music often accompanies my exhibitions, enhancing the meditative and immersive experience of my universe. As a self-taught Franco-Tunisian artist, I carry the richness of two cultures and the freedom of a creation shaped outside academic boundaries. I aspire to create an art that uplifts, soothes, and connects. My intention is to offer the public a spiritual and aesthetic experience—a bridge between the visible and the invisible, between art and the soul..
Inspiration & Style
What initially inspired you to become an artist, and how did you develop your unique artistic style?
My journey as an artist began from a very deep inner sensitivity to beauty, emotions, and spirituality. Since childhood, I have always felt connected to colors, music, silence, and the invisible world of emotions. Art became for me a sacred language a way to express what words cannot always say.
I am a self-taught artist, and over the years I developed my own artistic universe intuitively, guided by emotion, feminine energy, music, and spiritual symbols. My paintings are inspired by the sacred feminine, ancestral memories, nature, mystical signs, and the connection between the soul and light.

Creative Process
Do you have any rituals or routines that help you get into a creative mindset when starting a new project?
Yes, I have very personal rituals that help me enter a deep creative and spiritual state before beginning a new artwork. For me, creation is not something forced it is a moment of connection, silence, and inner listening.
Music is an essential part of my creative process. I often begin by improvising melodies on the piano, allowing emotions and vibrations to guide me naturally. These musical moments help me enter a meditative state where images, colors, and symbols start appearing intuitively in my mind.
I also love creating in a peaceful atmosphere with candles, soft lighting, natural scents, and moments of silence. Before painting, I often spend time contemplating the blank canvas, almost like a form of prayer or meditation.
My creative process is deeply intuitive. I do not always plan the final result in advance. I allow the artwork to reveal itself gradually, guided by emotion, spirituality, and energy. Each painting becomes a dialogue between my inner world and the invisible world around me.
For me, art is not only about technique it is a sacred experience of presence, healing, and transformation.
Artistic Influences
How do you balance historical or artistic influences with your personal style, and how do these influences manifest in your work today?
Historical and artistic influences are very important in my journey, but I always try to transform them through my own emotional and spiritual vision. I am deeply inspired by oriental art, ancestral symbols, sacred feminine traditions, Sufi spirituality, and the poetic beauty of different cultures. I am also touched by artists who create from emotion, intuition, and inner freedom rather than from rigid rules.
However, I never seek to reproduce influences exactly as they are. Instead, I allow them to merge naturally with my personal experiences, my emotions, my music, and my intuitive perception of the world. Over time, these inspirations have become part of my own visual language.
Today, these influences manifest in my work through symbolic elements such as eyes, moons, birds, musical signs, protective symbols, and feminine figures that carry memory, light, and spiritual presence. My color palettes, compositions, and textures are also influenced by Mediterranean culture, spirituality, and mystical traditions.
What makes my work personal is the fusion between these influences and my inner universe. I combine painting, music, symbolism, and intuitive expression to create artworks that feel both timeless and deeply personal.
For me, art is a bridge between heritage and intuition, between memory and transformation, between the visible and the invisible.
Emotion & Expression
How do you use your art to evoke emotions, and what role does emotion play in your creative process?
Emotion is at the very heart of my artistic process. I do not paint only what I see I paint what I feel. Every artwork begins with an emotion, a vibration, or an inner sensation that I transform into colors, symbols, textures, and feminine figures. For me, art is a silent language capable of touching the soul beyond words. Through my paintings, I try to evoke peace, introspection, sensitivity, strength, and spiritual connection. I want people to feel something deeply personal when they look at my work, as if the painting is speaking directly to their inner world. Music also helps me access emotions during the creative process. When I improvise melodies on the piano, emotions naturally emerge and guide my gestures, my color choices, and the energy of the composition. Painting becomes almost like a meditation or an emotional journey. Emotion plays an essential role because it gives authenticity and life to the artwork. I believe that when an artist creates with sincerity and presence, people can feel that energy. This is why many of my works are perceived not only as paintings, but as emotional and spiritual experiences. Through my art, I hope to create moments of healing, beauty, and inner light spaces where emotions can breathe freely and reconnect people with themselves.
Exhibiting Work
How do you feel about exhibiting your artwork with The Holy Art Gallery, and what does this opportunity mean to you?
Exhibiting my artwork with The Holy Art Gallery is a very meaningful and emotional experience for me. I feel deeply grateful and honored to have the opportunity to present my artistic universe on an international stage, especially in a city as inspiring and culturally rich as Tokyo. This opportunity represents much more than an exhibition. It is a bridge between cultures, emotions, spirituality, and artistic expression. Through my paintings and music, I hope to share a message of beauty, peace, feminine energy, and inner connection with people from different parts of the world.
I also feel excited because Tokyo is a place where art, sensitivity, symbolism, and contemplation are deeply appreciated. I believe there is a beautiful connection between the poetic and spiritual dimension of my work and the artistic atmosphere of Japan. For me, exhibiting with The Holy Art Gallery is an important step in my artistic journey. It encourages me to continue creating authentically and to share my universe beyond borders. It is both a personal achievement and a spiritual experience that fills me with gratitude and inspiration.
Future Goals
What are your long-term goals and aspirations as an artist, and how do you plan to achieve them?
My long-term goal as an artist is to create an artistic universe that goes beyond traditional painting a universe where art, music, spirituality, and emotional healing can exist together. I want my work to inspire people to reconnect with their inner light, their sensitivity, and their sense of peace.
I also aspire to exhibit my artworks internationally and build bridges between cultures through art. Exhibiting in places such as Tokyo is already an important step in this journey, and I hope to continue sharing my work in galleries, cultural institutions, and artistic events around the world.
Another important aspiration for me is to develop immersive artistic experiences that combine painting, music, meditation, and the sacred feminine. I would love to create exhibitions where people can not only see the artworks, but also feel them emotionally and spiritually through sound, atmosphere, and presence.
I also dream of publishing books and artistic collections inspired by my paintings, poetry, and intuitive melodies, allowing people to enter more deeply into my creative world.
To achieve these goals, I continue to work with sincerity, discipline, and passion every day. I believe that authenticity, perseverance, and emotional connection are essential in building a meaningful artistic path. I also remain open to collaborations, international opportunities, and continuous personal and artistic growth.
For me, success is not only about recognition it is about touching hearts, creating beauty, and leaving a lasting emotional and spiritual imprint through art.
Audience Connection
What do you hope viewers take away from experiencing your art, and how do you aim to connect with them on an emotional or intellectual level?
What I hope viewers take away from experiencing my art is a feeling of emotional connection, inner peace, and spiritual reflection. I would like people to feel that they are entering a sensitive and poetic universe where they can reconnect with their emotions, their imagination, and their inner light.
My artworks are created not only to be seen, but also to be felt. Through colors, symbols, feminine figures, and music-inspired compositions, I try to create a silent dialogue between the artwork and the viewer’s soul. I want each person to experience the paintings in their own personal way, according to their memories, emotions, and sensitivity.
On an emotional level, I hope my art can bring comfort, inspiration, healing, and a sense of beauty and serenity. On a deeper level, I also hope it encourages reflection about spirituality, feminine energy, human connection, and the invisible dimensions of life.
I aim to connect with viewers authentically, through sincerity and emotion rather than explanation alone. Even without words, I believe art can transmit energy, presence, and meaning. When someone feels moved, peaceful, or inspired in front of my work, I feel that a true connection has been created.
For me, art is a universal language that has the power to unite people beyond cultures and differences, through shared emotion and human sensitivity.
