Me Vivienn

  • 1. Inspiration & Style

    • Question: What initially inspired you to become an artist, and how did you develop your unique artistic style?

    • Answer: Being an artist is an inner drive existing from childhood, expressed through drawing, sculpting, and crafting, eventually leading to collage art which brings distinct objects and histories together into a unified meaning.

  • 2. Creative Process

    • Question: Do you have any rituals or routines that help you get into a creative mindset when starting a new project?

    • Answer: The creative impulse is largely beyond control, but when lacking spontaneous inspiration, the routine is to immediately sit down and create without overthinking or prior planning.

  • 3. Artistic Influences

    • Question: How do you balance historical or artistic influences with your personal style, and how do these influences manifest in your work today?

    • Answer: Working with historical photographs and archived materials in collage art, maintaining a powerful link to their past essence while stripping away their original memory to connect the past, present, and future.

  • 4. Emotion & Expression

    • Question: How do you use your art to evoke emotions, and what role does emotion play in your creative process?

    • Answer: Driven deeply by emotion and needing intense feelings to create, striving above all for raw honesty and authenticity rather than categorizing feelings as good or bad.

  • 5. Standout Projects

    • Question: Can you share a project that stands out to you and describe the creative process behind it?

    • Answer: A series of visuals centered on the concept of Gods, carrying a mix of reverence, fear, protest, sorrow, struggle, and triumph, reflecting accumulated childhood traumas, stigmas, and lifelong questions.

  • 6. Feedback & Growth

    • Question: How do you incorporate feedback from critics or audiences into your work, and how do you balance this with your own artistic intuition?

    • Answer: Distancing from critics and avoiding creation out of fear of mistakes, aiming to present art in a way that invites audiences to feel it rather than judge or critique it.

  • 7. Motivation & Inspiration

    • Question: How do you stay motivated and inspired, even when facing creative blocks or challenges?

    • Answer: Allowing peace and time during creative blocks to focus on other things like films, music, or exploring new places without being too hard on oneself.

  • 8. Exhibiting Work

    • Question: How do you feel about exhibiting your artwork with The Holy Art Gallery, and what does this opportunity mean to you?

    • Answer: Feeling like part of something fresh, positive, and significant, and deeply appreciating that the curators found the work compelling.

  • 9. Future Goals

    • Question: What are your long-term goals and aspirations as an artist, and how do you plan to achieve them?

    • Answer: Acknowledging that mapping out an artistic journey with exact precision is difficult, but knowing there are still many stories and details waiting to find their place within the collages.

  • 10. Audience Connection

    • Question: What do you hope viewers take away from experiencing your art, and how do you aim to connect with them on an emotional or intellectual level?

    • Answer: Hoping viewers feel they are not alone, recognizing that anxieties, fears, and taboos are real and acceptable, and understanding that human emotions have no judge.
